Abstracted Landscapes

The Art Exchange's gallery walls have transformed into soft colourful landscapes featuring artists Carol Finkbeiner Thomas, Erica Dornbusch, Catherine Morrisey, Jeanette Obbink and Angie Quick. The landscapes depict rural, coastal and forest scenes through the Canadian seasons in a celebration of the outdoors. Although the artworks chosen are all done in the individual artist’s style they all have an impressionistic quality to them. The feeling and emotion of the paint strokes capture the atmosphere of the environment depicted rather than a high realism interpretation of the scene.The exhibition is on from July 26 to August 10 it’s one you won’t want to miss.
