Born in Toronto, SANDRA MARTIN graduated with honours from both the Ontario College of Art and Design and the University of Waterloo MFA program where she majored in Drawing and Painting. Since graduating Sandra has participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Canada and the United States, winning several awards. In 2002 she was selected to be the Artist-In-Residence for the City of Kitchener completing a commission for The Centre in the Square. Solo exhibitions include River: Grand! at Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery, Fragmented Memories at Wellington County Museum and Archives, Threshold at Homer Watson House Gallery and Outside the Walls at the Robert Langen Gallery, Wilfrid Laurier University and the Queen West Art Crawl. She has been participating in The Artist Project since 2012. A sense of depth is created in her work through the use of mixed media and multiple layers. She paints full time from her home in Guelph.
